FFC's Dee Cycles 'Le Tour De Hornsea'!

dee tour de hornseaOn 4th May, Dee Phillips, Form F Assessor with our Yorkshire office, cycled the affectionately named ‘Tour De Hornsea’ sponsored bike ride for charity.

The event was organised to raise funds for a new bus for local charity, Label of Love. The charity is run by a Christian group who visit local schools and youth groups in Hull and the East Riding delivering inspiring and creative workshops to complement the schools’ Religious Education syllabus. The movement uses drama, mime, dance, singing and music to bring a contemporary edge to the topics and to encourage active engagement from the children, building skills and confidence along the way.

Whilst the event wasn’t quite as gruelling as the Tour De Yorkshire, it was still quite a challenge. Participants, including our intrepid Dee, cycled from Hull City Centre to Hornsea to raise money for the charity.

Family Fostercare of course was delighted to sponsor Dee in her fundraising efforts – sounds like it was a real ‘Label-our of Love’! (get it?!) Well done Dee!
