Free Tax Webinar for Foster Carers

tax seminarFoster carers and prospective foster carers are invited to take part in a free webinar hosted by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to find out more about tax issues.

The webinar, which is taking place on Thursday 27 June at 10am, is called 'Foster Carers and HMRC' and is intended to be a basic guide to the key tax and National Insurances issues affecting foster carers. The webinar will cover and clarify topics such as Qualifying Care Relief, how to keep records and what to put on a tax return. There will also be an a Q&A session where you can ask your own questions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone seriously considering fostering to find out more about their tax status as a foster carer, tax allowances and the kind of things that they would need to keep a record of.  Martin Rae, Family Fostercare Founding Director says, "A lot of people who come to fostering have previously been employed PAYE and so have not had to deal directly with their tax affairs before, so I'm sure this will be a very welcome service from HMRC. I hopefully this webinar will become a regular thing."

Places on the webinar are limited and you will need to reserve your space. To do so just copy and paste the following URL into your web browser and follow the on screen directions.  Once you have registered you will receive a confirmation email with all the information you need to join the webinar.
