Pumpkins, phantoms, ghouls, goo & boo-nanas - our West Midlands Halloween Party this year had it all!
Foster carers, children and staff from our West Midlands offices in Worcester and Dudley combined to celebrate Halloween in style last week at our Halloween Party at Churchill Village Hall.
The buffet was first class (not to mention huuuuge!) and felt like a great big family affair, with everyone bringing along delicious savoury and sweet dishes to share. Mary Groves (SSW & chef extraordinaire) treated us to her homemade pumpkin and tomato soups which had more than a touch of magic about them – thanks Mary!
All the children that attended the party had a great time and, despite looking like little ghouls and monsters, behaved like little angels!
They especially enjoyed the Mad Science session, probably because it involved so much gloop – there’s a lot of gloop involved in making brains, blood and snot!
There were lots of other games and activities for everyone to enjoy as well like spooky feely boxes, make your own witches potion, masks to colour in and more. Even the grownups got involved and had a go!
Of course, no Halloween party would be complete without scary costumes and pumpkins, both of which we had aplenty! There were some spectacularly scary outfits and masks
and some very glamorous witches
...and the Phantom of the Opera (aka Granville) was there to award prizes to the winners and runners up for the fancy dress and pumpkin competitions.
With feedback from the children such as “Awesome!” we’re pretty satisfied that a happy Halloween was had by all! Hope you enjoyed the pics - you can see more pictures on our Facebook page (don't forget to Like us)!
