Meet Our CEOP Ambassador

As it's Safer Internet Day we thought it would be a great opportunity to tell you a bit more about our CEOP Ambassador, Tracey Lewis. Tracey works as a Family Support Worker from our office in Dudley, and well as being our resident specialist on helping protect children and young people from sexual abuse and exploitation through education.

"Helping to protect children and young people from sexual abuse and exploitation through education is something I am very passionate about, so when I was offered the chance through Family Fostercare to undertake CEOP Ambassador training last year I was absolutely delighted.

Live Streaming - An Online Safeguarding Minefield

How much do you know about live streaming? Chances are the answer it's nowhere near as much as the young people in your household do. With it's monumental rise in popularity and with children and adults both taking part, live streaming is the latest in a growing list of online safeguarding minefields for foster carers, parents or guardians to navigate.

Free Webinar Training - Neurodiversity, SEN and SpLD

The British Dyslexia Association have been in touch with us here at Family Fostercare to help spread the word about a free training webinar they are offering for carers, parents and professionals working with children, especially children in care, who have been identified as having Special Education Needs (SEN) or Specific Learning Differences (SpLD).

No Turkeys But Plenty of Fun!

FFC Conquer the Malvern Hills

Malvern Hills Walk thumbnailFoster families and staff from our West Midlands offices conquered the Malvern Hills together on an massive 9 mile trek in the beautiful Autumn fresh air on Tuesday 24th October.

A-Maize-Maze-ing Day Out

Lakeland Maize MazeFoster families from our Cumbria office entered the Star Wars themed maize maze at Lakeland Maze Farm Park on 15th August this summer… And eventually everyone made it out again too (phew!)
