Family Fostercare's Charity Pledge

charity pledge main

If you follow us on Facebook or Twitter you will most likely already know that many members of the Family Fostercare team are quite fond of setting themselves the odd challenge in aid of charity.

In the space of the last 12 months alone Family Fostercare staff have taken part in a range of charitable activities - the Carlisle office team ran the 5K Colour Run for charity last year, there have been Macmillan coffee mornings held, a planned (although unfortunately cancelled) ramble on the Malvern Hills for Children in Need, and our resident dolphin Cliff Williams has done countless teeth-chattering open-air swims raising £100’s of pounds for Cancer Research.

Our foster carers, foster families and fostered children are also often actively engaged in fundraising activities for charities close to their hearts, including the Fostering Network of course.

Perhaps appreciating that all these projects and physical challenges in aid of charity undertaken in our own spare time keeps us all fit, happy and out of mischief (!) the Family Fostercare directors have this week made a generous company-wide pledge of support for our efforts.

The Family Fostercare directors have pledged to donate £25 to every member of staff, foster carer, member of a fostering household or fostered child looking for sponsorship for any charitable cause. Now we think that’s a policy to be pretty proud of!
