We returned to Ashbourne Camping and Caravanning Club mid-August this year for our Family Summer Camp for staff, foster carers and children.
As ever the facilities were excellent, the range of entertainment and activities available nearby was superb and the weather was... British! But most importantly of all, the company was absolutely stellar! The simple pleasure of mucking in together to cook and share a BBQ or giant paella, and then to while the evening away with a beer or glass of wine, playing games or just chatting with people, young and not-so-young from all walks of life who have come to look upon each other as family - well, it is one of the greatest simple pleasures of all.
So thank you to everyone who came along, for your company, warmth, generosity and good spirits. We look forward to doing it all again next year. In the meantime, here's a look back at some of the holiday snaps.
