West Midlands Christmas Party

Family Fostercare West Midlands had a cracker of a family Christmas party at Areley Kings Village Hall in December.

The hall was beautifully decorated and Christmas tunes were playing out to get everyone in the festive spirit! There was plenty of crafts, activities and competitions to keep everyone busy as well as a fantastic face painter/glitter tattooist, karaoke, prize giving and a visit from the big man himself, Father Christmas!

We created our own fun photo booth with a variety of props - Chris particularly enjoyed trying them out! And everyone came along in Christmas fancy dress or their best Christmas jumpers. It was lovely to see such a large number of our older children and teenagers making the effort to come along and get involved, not just because they helped to make the party such a lovely occasion but also because it gave Tracey, our Family Worker, the chance to meet them and talk over activities they would like to see her planning for them next year.

And what's a Christmas party without loads of lovely Christmas food? We had a huge buffet and puddings that looked almost too good to eat (but we all did our best anyway ;) ), supplied by two of our carers, Kim and Chris.

It was a lovely, relaxed family event that gave us all the opportunity to get together and continue to build on the relationships between our fostering team, carers and the children, all whilst having a lot of festive fun (and the odd bad cracker joke!)
