Around 750 new foster carers are needed in Halifax, West Yorkshire and the Yorkshire region.
Having enough foster carers from as many different walks of life as possible gives us the best chance of finding the right foster family for each child or children, first time. The foster care 'workforce' needs to be as diverse as the children who come into care, and there is no such thing as the 'ideal foster carer'. If you can commit to caring for a child who is going through a difficult time, for as long as they need you, and you have a spare bedroom then there's a good chance you can become a foster carer.

Family Feel Fostering in Halifax
Family Fostercare works with local authorities in across Yorkshire to find, train and support new foster carers to provide safe, sensitive foster care for children who, for one reason or another, cannot live with their families right now.
Family Fostercare believes in fostering with a family feel. That's why we keep our offices small, working with a maximum of 25 foster families at each office, so that we have the time to give every individual the care and support they need. As a foster agency one of our most important values is to make sure that every foster carer and young person we have the privilege of working with feels like one of the family.

Your Local Family Fostercare
Our foster carers in Halifax are supported by our fostering team from our foster agency office in Beverley. The team works with foster carers from around the region including Halifax, Leeds, Wakefield and Bradford. Our Registered Manager for Halifax is Karen Gill-Rummens, an experienced Registered Manager with excellent local contacts, a focus on care standards and a firm belief in the Family Fostercare ethos of putting child and family first.

We always welcome enquiries from everyone who thinks they would like to become a foster carer in Halifax, and from experienced foster carers wishing to transfer to us.
