Top Barn is the brainchild of farming family the Harpers, who wanted to create a way to share their beautiful patch of Worcestershire countryside with visitors. Although the farm is still in business the family have developed parts of their land into attractions and facilities for everyone to enjoy.
The farm buildings have been transformed into the business centre which Family Fostercare Worcester can now call home. It has quickly become a thriving and diverse business community with something of an artisanal and socially responsible feel – there’s an outdoors Kindergarten and i58 Social Enterprises for example - all perhaps drawing inspiration from the tranquillity of the beautiful rural setting. The lake has been developed into a water sports and course fishing facility. There is a beautiful farm shop bursting with farm-produced, homemade and home cooked produce. And most importantly of all there is the Top Barn Farm Park where the children can let off steam on the many play areas, sand pits and willow tunnels, enjoy a tractor ride around the park, pet the animals, see some of the inner workings of a farm and generally have a whale of a time in the great, green, gorgeous outdoors.
We think Top Barn is a wonderful setting for our foster agency. The whole venue is a great match with our warm, friendly, family-feel style, and with ample parking and motorway links only 20 mins away it’s convenient for our foster carers too. But perhaps the thing that we love the most about our new home at Top Barn will be that for our foster families, coming to see us at the office can become an opportunity for some simple, good old-fashioned family-fun in the fresh air.
We’re still settling in at the moment but being there to support our foster families is still our number one priority. The boxes will be gradually unpacked over the next few days, and once they are, why not come and pay us a visit – we’d love to show you our new home.
